Privacy Policy
The Marion Community Intranet recognizes the importance of protecting your privacy and the privacy of the information you provide to this site. Accordingly, this section describes the Community Intranet's policy regarding the use and protection of user information gathered via the Site.

In the future, our site may gather personally identifiable information about users  through a registration process and other means, such as user submissions. Personal information may be retained by the Marion Community Intranet. Because of laws regarding the use of children’s personal information, children under the age of 18 will  not permitted to register. Children under 18 may use this site, but should do so only with parental supervision, especially when it relates to the disclosure of personal information about children. Although the Marion Community Intranet will do what it can to screen information from children under the age of 18, the Marion Community Intranet has no way to guarantee that a registrant or user is under 18. Therefore, to the maximum extent permitted by law, the Marion Community Intranet  is not responsible for a child’s use of the Site or the personal information supplied by a child on the Site.

The Marion Community Intranet may also, in the future,  gather non-personal information through standard tracking mechanisms on internet servers. For example, the Marion Community Intranet may employ "cookies" on various parts of the Site. Cookies are information that the Site transfers to the user's hard drive to facilitate record keeping and tracking a user's preferences. Non-personal information is primarily collected in order to improve the functionality and user's enjoyment of the Site and to tailor the Site to your individual preferences and to make using the Site simpler and more enjoyable. The information that is typically tracked includes the type of internet browser and operating system being used by a user and the user's internet service provider.

The importance of security for all personally identifiable information associated with users is of utmost concern to the Marion Community Intranet. As a result, while the Marion Community Intranet strives to protect users' personal information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of any information users transmit to the Site, and users do so at their own risk.

In such cases, the Marion Community Intranet will to evaluate, monitor or otherwise authenticate the products or services offered by third parties on the Site or otherwise, including, but not limited to, paid advertising, classified ads, online reviews, user-posted content or otherwise. We make  no representations or warranties whatsoever regarding third party products or services and shall not be liable in any way for any damages, claims or other liabilities arising out of or in connection with transactions facilitated over the Site.

This agreement shall be governed by, construed and enforced according to the laws of the state of Iowa. You expressly consent to the jurisdiction of state and federal courts located within the state of Iowa.

Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless the Marion Community Intranet and its affiliates, agents, employees, related entities, and third-party content providers and licensors from and against all damages, claims and expenses, including attorneys' fees and costs, arising out of your use of the Site, and/or your breach or alleged breach of any obligation, condition or term in these Terms of Use. Severability, Integration and Amendment

If any provision of the Terms of Use shall be held to be unlawful, void or unenforceable or any reason, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent possible but will otherwise be severable from the Terms of Use and shall not affect the validity or enforceability of any remaining provisions.
