Writers and E-Zines
Electronic Magazines, or E-zines, are perhaps the most promising item
on the Internet for new or unpublished writers. Many offer publicity
which newer writers so desperately need. (Who hasn't needed clips?)
Many of these e-zines don't offer cash payment, but they do allow a
notch on the old resume. However, there are a few "paper" magazines which
have went electric - and they still pay their freelancers well. Although I will
be the first to admit cash is a nice incentive, it
should be important for new writers just to get the bylines and place
their name in the public view as often as possible.
Please note: As with all of the information listed on my pages,
I do not endorse or otherwise condone the sites I have listed. Frankly,
many of them I read or visit, but I rarely have time to contribute.
Readers will need to make their own judgments on what is reputable and
what is not.
